The Magnetic Splashback for your Kitchen

KalaMitica splashback panels come in four standard sizes: 120x61 cm, 180x61 cm, 240x61 cm and 300.5x61 cm.
These sizes have been selected to fit standard kitchen dimensions, ensuring optimal coverage between the countertop and cabinets.
However, custom sizes are also available to meet specific needs.

Installation is simple and doesn't necessarily require drilling or screws.
Just apply a layer of heavy-duty mounting glue to the back of the panel and press it onto the wall.
Holes will later be concealed by kitchen units.
Due to the size and weight of the panels, we recommend having at least two people for installation.

If space allows, the panel can be installed at any time, even after your kitchen is already fitted.
Installation is straightforward, making it an ideal solution for upgrading existing kitchens.
However, for the best results, we recommend installing it during kitchen assembly so that kitchen units can cover any small gaps or holes.

Yes, KalaMitica panels can be installed over tiled surfaces.
Using a silicone-based adhesive suitable for your surface ensures a strong and stable bond.

KalaMitica panels are compatible with any magnetic accessory, not just our own brand.
You can use any kind of magnets and magnetic containers, hooks and shelves, as well as fridge magnets.

Yes, KalaMitica panels withstand typical kitchen temperatures from ovens and hobs, as long as they are not exposed to direct, prolonged heat.
In addition, the powder coating method (and not liquid paint) ensures that no harmful substances are released even at high temperatures.
Please note: When using the hob, the lower section of the panel may become warm to the touch—take care to avoid accidental burns.

Like all KalaMitica boards, our splashback panels are writable and erasable.
Use them to jot down recipes, reminders, or shopping lists for added convenience in your kitchen.
Write with chalk or liquid chalk markers and wipe clean with a damp cloth or mild cleaner.

Cleaning is simple: just use a damp cloth to remove splashes and stains.
For a deeper clean, a multi-surface cleaner works well.
To preserve the finish, avoid using abrasive sponges.

Yes, the splashback panels are made with the same materials and finishes as other KalaMitica boards.
They can be positioned horizontally or vertically and used in any space, as back panels to create magnetic walls with KalaMitica+ accessories, as writable and erasable boards, as displays for magnets and much more.

KalaMitica splashbacks - and all panels in the range - are made of powder-coated ferritic steel, with a thickness of approximately 1.5 mm.
They can be resized or modified directly during installation, exclusively by qualified personnel equipped with the appropriate tools (angle grinder and Personal Protective Equipment).

Two types of modifications are possible:
- Reducing the size of the panel to fit the available space.
- Creating internal cutouts to accommodate electrical outlets, switches or other wall elements.

To preserve the quality of the front side, we recommend cutting the panel from the back.

Take the utmost care and always wear Personal Protective Equipment when handling the panel: the cut edges may be particularly sharp.

If you are not familiar with power tools or prefer a more convenient solution, we can also make a customised panel with internal holes for switches. The cut is made with a laser before painting, for a clean and perfectly finished result.
